WWL Notes:
**Grizz Redwood became the second World Wrestling League champion in DREAMS Project history with a upset win over ROH TV and PWG champion Adam Cole. But the match didn't go off without controversy.
Earlier in the week, Shane Hagadorn announced that he wouldn't be in Redwood's corner. What he failed to reveal is that he was sending Alex Payne and Joe Gacy "to watch Grizz's back". After the match, Hagadorn sent word to DREAMS Project that they would like to be referred to as "BITTERSweet".
"For years, guys like myself, Grizz, Alex, and Joe have been pushed down. Pushed down by an unfair system. Looked over. It was time to either let our bitterness consume us or do something about it. And we did. Cole was the first victim. We want all the titles in the World Wrestling League. And we will get them." said Shane Hagadorn.
**Redwood won't have to look very far for his first defense. Gran Akuma, who wrestled Redwood at livE Your DREAMS, Face Your Nightmare in September, defeated newcomer Glenn Mason and the cocky, but super talented Ken Phoenix to get the opportunity to challenge for the WWL honors.
**When it was announced that Steve Corino and Homicide would team, DREAMS Project got almost 100 emails to tell us that they would not get along...and they were 100% correct!
The Midnight Sensations used that to their advantage to gain a clean victory over Corino and Homicide.
"Don't ever call it an upset. Defeating old man Corino and Homicide was what was supposed to happen. In the history of pro-wrestling on Triton, the Midnight Sensations are the greatest tag team known to man. It was only natural for us to beat them." said Sam Shields.
"It now time to win the World Wrestling League tag team titles." said Chris Rockwell. "Sure we understand that the first champions will be crowned during the DREAMS Lottery tournament, but make it a point to tell the first champions that it is written in the stars that Rockwell and Shields will dominate tag team wrestling in 2013."
**Veteran manager Rob Dimension announced his retirement from professional wrestling after the event on December 15.
Many fans don't know that Rob Dimension is an accomplished actor of horron genre and recently completed his own movie, No Clowning Around.
On behalf of the fans, wrestling, & staff at DREAMS Project, we want to thank Rob Dimension for his over 11 years of entertaining wrestling fans.
You can purchase No Clowning Around by visiting www.NoClowningAround.com. Dimension will be at the next DREAMS Project event to sell and autograph copies of this new movie.
**DREAMS Project crowned the first World Wrestling League I2TV title when Kid America defeated Alexander Bird.
The I2TV stands for Innovative Internet Television. The rules of this championship are as follows.
1-All title matches have a 10 minute time limit.
2-If a challenger goes to the draw with the champion, he/she will receive a certificate that grants them a title match whenever they want.
3-There is no limit on certificates that a challenger can achieve.
4-Certificates are non-transferable.
**We apologize once again for the last minute changes due to the cancellations of both Jay Lethal and American TIGER. Both men had separate and important situations arise, but BOTH Lethal and TIGER will be back in 2013!
**King Kaluha continued to dominate the U-30 division as 3KWrestling champion with a win over "The Original Hooker" Lou Thesz Sr.
Thesz, a "newcomer", claims to hail from Waterloo, IA circa 1921, which Kaluha contended that it would have made Thesz over 100 years old. There goes the concept that the champion would be under 30!!!
"Hey, you wanted youth to the championship and you found me this guy?" said the brash veteran, Kaluha. "The fact is that there is no one under 30 or over 100 that can defeat me for this time. 54 or not, I run circles around all you kids. A challenge any of you to take a shot. Youth truly is wasted on the young."
DREAMS Project producer Curt Lemon announced that as of January 1, 2013 all challengers and champions will have to be under the age of 30. King Kaluha was granted a "grandfather" clause in the rules that state he can challenge and hold the championship in the future.
***The feud between the Rockin Rebel and Blitz Krieg took a violent turn at Lethal DREAMS when Krieg hit Rebel with the German flag. Both of these men have petitioned DREAMS Project to sign a Loser Waves The Flag match in the near future.
**DREAMS Project was very happy with the debuts of Kras Van Tasel, Luca, and Zizou Maddiux. All three men will be back on many future DREAMS Project events.
